The winner can use their own name and the name and breed of their dog, or honor someone who has done a big amount of rescue. You can even pass the win to a relative or friend. How endearing would it be to give your canine-crazy sister a birthday or Christmas present like having her name and her dog in a popular mystery?

     I’ll even let the winner pick a character. You can be the killer, the victim, a cop, or just a nosey neighbor bent on involving yourself in Ellie and Rudy’s way to solving the murder.
